Sure, a wacky runway bag is nothing new for Moschino, given the Italian fashion house’s legacy spans everything from McDonalds-inspired crossbodies to, more recently, the celery-shaped leather Sedano bag. But there is something about the pasta bag that particularly lends itself to a riotous night out. Would fashion set in the image of carbs invigorate some all-night dancing? Would it set the tone for a delicious evening? Feeling inspired, I decided to bravely take the pasta bag on a hot date—to two of New York’s sceniest restaurants, The Corner Store and Cipriani Downtown—as well as my local grocery store. Would people gawk at the humorous bag? Would they even notice it, among the crowd of influencers and VIPs with their own statement accessories also frequenting the restaurants? There was only one way to find out: Read on for what happened when I took the Moschino pasta bag out into the wild.Washington State Cougars 2025 Potato Bowl Champions Helmet Shirt
There is currently no reservation in New York City that is harder to get than The Corner Store. (Thanks, Taylor Swift.) I figured it was the perfect place to bring Moschino’s pasta bag, given the buzzy crowd of models, content creators, and important rich folks—someone was bound have an opinion on the kitschy accessory. While there is technically no pasta on the menu here, the viral five-cheese pizza rolls and special tomato martini made it amici. So, armed with three friends, and my delectable bag, I was soon on my merry way to see what the It crowd had to say about it—allora! I sauntered into the restaurant at 5 p.m. sharp, with the bag discretely tucked under my arm. The place was already buzzing, despite it being an early bird special. The hostess immediately made eye contact with my bag—slowly, eventually, moving her gaze up to my eyeballs. “Hi,” she says, unsure of where to direct her gaze. “Name?”
